LISBURN folk are being urged to get on their bike and enjoy the benefits of cycling.
Travelwise NI Bike Week takes place across Northern Ireland from June 13- 21, and Lisburn will be doing its bit to encourage more people to get on out on two wheels.
On Saturday June 13 there will be a chance to see Belfast Urban Sport's spectacular BMX show, mingle with unicyclists, stilt walkers, juggling acts and Miss Indestructible herself at Market Square.
Or why not enter Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children's competition and be in with a chance of winning a Carera Subway bike donated by Halfords.
You can travel through Lisburn on the free bicycle limo and see the past and present fuse together with Han na Cycle's bicycle display in Bow Street.
On Friday June 19 you can start the day with a difference by pedalling your way into work and get a free breakfast in the Lisburn City Centre Management marquee in Market Square. Breakfasts, supplied by Daltons and The Brown Bean, will be served between 8am - 10.30am.
Either register prior to the event or simply show up with your bike or helmet and get your free breakfast. If it's been a while since your bike has been out of the garage, dust it off and take it along to either J M Hanna Cycles or Cycle Zone to receive a free bicycle health check between June 13 - 20 and you'll be all set to go.
