A LOCAL motorcycle business and a rider it sponsors are working together to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation . MotoTech from Lower Ballinderry sponsor Gareth Evans from Hillsborough in the SS600 Irish Clubman's Championship.
However, Gareth has decided to donate a percentage of his sponsorship funds for the coming season to the Make A Wish Foundation.
Make-A-Wish Foundation UK grants magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening illnesses. Since being established in the UK in 1986, it has granted over 5,300 wishes. It has no cures to offer and all too often some of its endings are sad but, during desperate times when there seems to be no hope, Make-A-Wish steps in and provides positive and uplifting relief. Most of all, a 'wish granted brings a time of magic and joy for the special children and families it serves. A prize draw has been organised to take place at Kirkistown Easter Race meeting. Lesley Johnston from Make a Wish Foundation will be presented With 50% of all donations collected. Tickets are now on sale and are available from MotoTech 16e Lower Ballinderry Road, Upper Ballinderry, call 9265 0577 or check out www.moto-tech.biz.
