Silent vigil in Lisburn City Centre marks opposition to killings

Market Square in Lisburn city centre was packed today (Wednesday 11th March) for a silent vigil marking opposition to recent killings. From 1.00pm to 1.30pm hundreds expressed their sympathy to the bereaved families of the two soldiers and police officer who died recently in separate shootings. Those gathered included Councillor Ronnie Crawford (Lisburn Mayor), Councillor Oran Keenan (Antrim Mayor), Lagan Valley MP Jeffrey Donaldson, councillors and local clergy.
