Mayor of Lisburn, Councillor Ronnie Crawford, hosted an evening of music and dance on St. Patrick’s Day at Lagan Valley Island, which brought together a line up of Celtic fusion provided by St. Patrick’s Pipeband Annsborough and the Irish Dancing Divas accompanied by the Young Drums.
The evening thrilled the audience of hundreds, with the array of entertainment headlined by George Jones’s Clubsound. The Mayor, Councillor Ronnie Crawford said: “This concert was a brilliant opportunity for local talent to come together, to entertain an audience with a range of musical tastes. The presence of George Jones and his band playing music from the 60s and 70s made the evening a truly exceptional experience. I am very pleased with the level of funding that was raised from the show for Diabetes UK, this year’s Mayoral Charity.”
The St. Patrick’s Day event was organised by Lisburn City Council as part of the Good Relations Programme and in association with David Hull Promotions.
