NO fewer than six members of Seymour Street Methodist Church BB and GB were among a group of young achievers from right across the UK who received their Duke of Edinburgh Gold Awards in the prestigious setting of St. James's Palace last week. Jonathan Allen, Christina Colligan, Claire Maze,
Michelle Pierce, Hannah Stewart and Nadia Wright travelled to London on 12 April to receive their certificates from the The Earl of Wessex.

The Gold Award Presentation (GAP) is a celebration and recognition of their achievements in completing their Gold DofE programme.

The group worked tirelessly through the five sections of their programme over several years to achieve first their Bronze, then Silver and ultimately their Gold Award. They had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon at St James's Palace, which was a fitting culmination to mark the hard work, determination and perseverance required.
