A TEAM of four is set to take part in sponsored tandem skydives at the Moonjumper International Sky Centre in Garvagh next Saturday to raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

They are taking part in the fundraiser in memory of Naoishe Doherty who sadly succumbed to the illness at the age of 19. Ready to take the plunge are Lisburn residents Karen Irvine and Peter Irvine (Naoishe's boyfriend), Shanna McGowan from Donaghadee and Emmet Kerr from Derry.

Linda Alexander, Regional Fundraising Manager for The Cystic Fibrosis Trust in Northern Ireland said: "I am absolutely delighted that Karen, Peter, Shanna and Emmet have decided to take part in the Tandem Skydive to raise both awareness and much needed funds to support the work of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. The money raised will help us support local Cystic Fibrosis sufferers and also help us fund vital research into helping find a cure for cystic fibrosis."

Even a few pounds will make a huge difference and mean The Cystic Fibrosis Trust can continue their invaluable work.

You can sponsor the team by visiting their online fundraising page on; www.justgiving.com/karen-irvine0. You can pay by credit or debit card, and the money will go directly to the charity. Where supporters are UK taxpayers, the charity will automatically receive 28% extra in Gift Aid, which makes Justgiving the most efficient way of sponsoring Karen and her team.

Further information for anyone inspired by the thought of taking part in a tandem skydive(!) can be got at the website at; www.moonjumper.com.
