People who took part in the Summer Epilogue Service in Seymour Street Methodist Church on Sunday 1st July. Shirley Carrington (Seymour Street Methodist), Victor Hutchinson (Railway Street Presbyterian), Rev John Brackenridge (First Lisburn Presbyterian) and Canon Sam Wright (Lisburn Cathedral) and Seymour Street Praise Band - Lois Wilson (Violin), Alan Lewis (Keyboard) and Steven McCrea (Guitar).
DURING July and August the Lisburn city centre congregations of - Lisburn Cathedral, First Lisburn Presbyterian, Railway Street Presbyterian and Seymour Street Methodist, join for Summer Epilogue Services.
The first of these Epilogue Services was held in Seymour Street Methodist last Sunday evening (1st July). The service was led by Shirley Carrington, Seymour Street Lay Pastoral Assistant.
Victor Hutchinson (Railway Street Presbyterian) read the Scripture lesson; Canon Sam Wright (Lisburn Cathedral) led the prayers of Intercession and the Rev John Brackenridge (First Lisburn Presbyterian) preached the sermon. Seymour Street Praise Band comprising Alan Lewis (Keybard), Lois Wilson (Violin) and Steven McCrea (Guitar) led the praise which included, 'Great is Thy faithfullness' and 'What a faithful God have I'.
The Epilogue Services will continue each Sun(ay evening at 8.00pm at the following venues:
Sunday 8th July - Lisburn Cathedral; Sunday 15th July - Railway Street Presbyterian; Sunday 22th July - First Lisburn Presbyterian; Sunday 29th July - Praise in the Park - Wallace Park at 3.00pm; Sunday 5th August - Seymour Street Methodist; Sunday 12th August - Railway Street Presbyterian; Sunday 19th August Lisburn Cathedral and Sunday 26th August - First Lisburn Presbyterian.
There is no Epilogue Service on Sunday July 29 as the Lisburn City Centre Churches unite for their annual 'Praise in the Park' at 3.00pm at the Wallace Park, Bandstand — please come and join them as they sing hymns old and new in the beautiful natural backdrop of 'The Peoples Park.
