Sloan Street Orange Arch in the 50's

The group gathered underneath the arch includes: Mrs. Neill with her son Jim (on the edge of the pavement), and Mrs. Smith and her daughter Iris (in front of left pillar). The McWatters Bread van driver also took time off to have his picture taken. Mrs. Gallagher (Senior) and her daughter Mrs. Minnie Phillips are on the extreme right. In the background: McKeown's shop with awning beside the petrol pump, post box, and telephone box. Behind the car on the right is Sloan Street Public Elementary School.
