A Service of Dedication in memory of the Rev Dr. Canon Ken Cochrane, former rector of St Paul's, Lisburn, took place in St Paul's on Sunday January 30.

Canon Cochrane, whose ministry spanned more than 50 years in Connor Diocese, died on December 31 2009. The service was conducted the Rev James Carson, rector of St Paul's, assisted by Stephen McWhirter, associate in ministry, and lay readers Jim Neill and Mark Jamison. The Act of Dedication was led by the Dean of Connor, the Very Rev John Bond who was Canon Cochrane's first curate in the Parish of St Paul's. The Dean also preached.

Two plaques were dedicated, one on behalf of the parish and the other from the Cochrane family. There was also a new white Communion Frontal, with a Maltese Cross motif, dedicated in Canon Cochrane's memory.
