LISBURN'S Down Royal Park Golf Course is hosting a Charity Golf Day on Saturday May 22 in aid of TinyLife, the Northern Ireland charity for premature and vulnerable babies.
The Mayor of Lisburn, Councillor Allan Ewart, is calling on golfing enthusiasts to take part in this fun day out: "This Charity Golf Day is a perfect way for golfers, and those who want to try out the sport, to enjoy a days golf and support a good cause. This Golf Day is the latest in a programme of fundraising activities that have been organised to support my Mayoral Charity, TinyLife. I would like to thank everyone who has supported the wide variety of fundraising events held during my term as Mayor and would ask for your continued support. There are only a couple of months left until my Mayoral term ends and I aim to continue raising funds for my nominated charity throughout that time. At the end of my year in office I hope to be able to present TinyLife with a donation that is going to make a notable contribution to the valuable and precious work that they do and this Golf Day is another opportunity for people to add to that contribution." Registration for the event at the Down Royal Park Golf Course commences at 12.30pm with a shotgun start at 1.30pm. Dinner will be served at 7.00pm with accompanying music from 'Velvet' and is followed by a prize giving ceremony at 8.30pm. There is more live music with 'Rockin Blues' playing after the prize giving.
Tickets for the event are £40.00 per player (includes golf, dinner and live music) or £10.00 per person for an evening ticket (includes live music).
