THE Friends of the Cancer Centre was delighted that all forty of its spots were snapped up by members of the public, each with a head for heights, who were prepared to literally 'jump' into spring in the name of the charity. Don't worry, if you missed out on the action this time as there is another opportunity coming up on September 26 - simply contact the charity to register for a spot.

Looking forward to just as good a turnout at the September abseil, Colleen Shaw, Fundraising Manger for Friends of the Cancer Centre, said: "We welcome everyone to take part in the events we run and also encourage others to host events of their own to raise funds for this important charity. 'Friends' supports cancer patients and their families by supplementing and enhancing the services provided at the Cancer Centre, NI's regional centre of excellence, at the Belfast City Hospital. For more information on forth-

coming events, or advice on how to help us raise funds, please get in touch by visiting www.friendsofthecancercentre.com, signing up to our Facebook group under the charity's name, calling Colleen or Kelly on 028 9069'9393, or emailing info@friendsofthecancercentre.com. We're more than happy to help support activities which aim to raise funds for the charity by providing sponsorship cards, some branded items when applicable, and lots of fundraising advice."
