HARRY
Hamilton, a.k.a Flash Harry is a Queen Tribute artist. He is
married to Heather and they have three daughters.
Flash Harry will be appearing at the Island Arts
Centre this Saturday, December 29 and it is set to be a hit
filled extravaganza. The band play great attention to detail
and Harry's uncanny likeness to Freddie Mercury produces a
truly great night's entertainment.
What do you like doing on your day off?
I like to read biographies and am interested in
politics. I am a member of a local party and am thinking of
standing for election.
If you were to choose your favourite meal what would
it be, where and why?
One year I enjoyed a beautiful meal with my extended
family in Roscoffs and the atmosphere and everything about
it was so good that it still stays in my mind.
What has been your proudest moment?
Performing in the Albert Hall in
2004. It was wonderful standing on stage and getting such a
great reaction from the audience.
What was the most frightening moment of your life?
When I managed to fall over on stage at our first sell
out show at the Grand Opera House. it broke the ice!
How would you describe your taste in clothes?
I have a retro style. I am very much into mid sixties early
seventies style clothes. I like wearing jeans and a t-shirt.
What would you do if you won a million pounds?
I would indulge in music I want to buy and I would have
my own recording show.
What was your most embarrassing moment?
When I was a teenager I went to a parade in the local town
and my cousin kept telling me to sit down and tugged on my
trousers, which fell down. I still feel embarrassed about
it.
What music do you like?
Rock is my first love but I do like all sorts
of music. I enjoy swing too but am not tied to one
particular genre.
What sports person do you most admire?
Muhammad Ali was a great sportsman who managed to be
consistent. He is an inspiration.
Describe your best ever holiday. What would your dream
holiday be?
The first holiday I had with my wife and children in the
South of France. It was lovely watching them enjoy their
holiday. I would like to follow. the origins of the music I
love, and visit New Orleans, Memphis and New York.
What is your greatest remaining ambition?
I would love to perform as me as opposed to living in
the shadow of another artist. Playing in my own right would
be brilliant.
If you could spend a day with a celebrity whom would
you choose?
Eric Clapton as he has had an interesting life and I
would like to see how he is inspired.
If you were stranded on a desert island what three
things would you want with you?
I-pod, guitar and books.
