PETER Wilson, 17. a sixth former at Wallace High School. is a member of Lisburn based Maryland Wheelers Cycling Club. He has recently been selected along with tour other Junior Cyclists to represent Ireland at the European Indoor Track Championships to be held in Germany in July.

What do you like doing on your day off?
When I m not at school I like to no out with my friends or go on a really long ride on the bike.

If you were to choose your favourite meal what would it be, where and why?
My favourite meal is porridge. which sounds quite boring but I would have to eat it on the top of a mountain in France so I could go down the mountain on my bike.

What has been your proudest moment?
Passing GCSE French.

What was the most frightening moment of your life?
In France last year I was coming down a mountain on the bike at over 40mph on the inside of a bend when a car was coming up - missed it by a foot. Not something I did again.

How would you describe your taste in clothes? What's the most you ever spent on a single item?
I don't really have a taste in clothes. I'll wear anything really. I did once spend �70 on a pair of jeans though.

What would you do if you won a million pounds?
Have you ever seen that Skoda ad with the car made of sweets? Well, I would buy that car and eat it.

What was your most embarrassing moment?
Celebrating a win in a cycle race this year only to realise there was still a lap to go.

What music do you like?
Anything really, always up for a good power ballad.

What sports person do you most admire?
Sean Kelly, greatest ever Irish cyclist who won nearly everything worth winning.

Describe your best ever holiday. What would your dream holiday be?
I went to America five years ago with my family. brilliant fun. My dream holiday would be somewhere hot but not too hot with plenty of good food and not much going on.

What is your greatest remaining ambition?
To ride a World Championship Cycling event.

If you could spend a day with a celebrity whom would you choose?
Cyclist Jens Voight, crazy guy.

If you were stranded on a desert island what three things would you want with you?
A pilot. a helicopter and a big box of porridge.
