Lisburn caused me many tears
She put me through the mill
But looking back through countless years
I know I love her still

The rolling hills around the town
				The stroll through country lane
In memory are with me still
				I see them once again

From Antrim Road to County Down
				Past hawthorn and wild rose
In the fields around old Lisburn town
				Where the river Lagan flows

I see her now in distant haze
				Dressed in time’s distorting gown
But only death can truly erase
				My love of Lisburn town.
