CANAL Boxing Academy proved they are going from strength to strength as they held their second Friday Fight Night in the Royal British Legion on Friday April 16.

The contests on the evening ranged from flyweight to heavyweight, providing much entertainment for spectators.

Two contests stood out on the night, with young Joshua Bisby Millar taking a standing count in the first round, only to stop Jacob Bradshaw with a burst of hard shots to the body and head. Cole Maginness had a fine win over Mark Lyndsey of St. Agnes, whilst the heavyweight contest had Adam

Magee turning over Chris Dunbar of Sandy Row Club.

All the coaches were pleased with the way all the young men boxed.

Meanwhile, Canal boxers had a busy week ahead of them, with boxers having travelled to Saintfield on Wednesday , before they will go to the Holiday Inn, Belfast tonight (Friday) and Ballymena tomorrow (Saturday) for events.

The Club would like to thank the people of Lisburn for their continued support since Canal Boxing Academy opened its doors in August 2009.
