Rochelle Thompson, aged 15, has been shortlisted to take part in the The 'Denman Face of 2010' competition.A MOIRA teenager has made it through to the finals of a prestigious new modelling competition launched by one of Northern Ireland's top hair salons in aid of the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children (NICFC).

Rochelle Thompson, aged 15, has been shortlisted to take part in the The 'Denman Face of 2010', in association with Gatsby International Salon and Maureen Martin Model Management. The event takes place at a glitzy gala fashion show at the Crawfordsburn Inn this Thursday March 11. Finalists will also get the chance to have a professional portfolio of photographs shot by leading fashion photographer Jim Crone.

The competition is the brainchild of Brenda Keys and Tom Mulrine at Bangor salon, Gatsby International, who decided to run the search to raise money for the charity after a close friend's child was diagnosed with cancer.

Brenda said: "No family is ever prepared for the devastation that a diagnosis of cancer in a child brings. We're very pleased to be able to raise vital funds for this fantastic charity, which provides practical, emotional and social support for children and families facing an unimaginable challenge."
