GOOD Morning Colin and South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust have recently held a number of events for older people in the Colin community.

20 elderly people were treated to a day out to the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum in Cultra where they reminisced about the old cultures of Ireland. Last week they were also taken on a day trip to Bangor as part of GMC's Inter Generational programme which saw older people socialising with young people from Saints Youth Club on a fun day out.

Isobel Flood, Coordinator of Good Morning Colin explained, "Both events were well attended and enjoyed by everyone. It gave the older people a chance to talk about days gone by and how life used to be and the young people really enjoyed hearing their stories.

"Good Morning Colin intend to organise more trips like this over the next few months and anyone interested in coming on future trips will be very welcome. GMC would also like to thank Translink for providing free transport for our participants and volunteers."
